Electronics Engineer

    We are now looking for a Electronics Engineer to join our Component Engineering team in the Helsinki office. Your role covers several interesting topics like the R&D support, components and suppliers’ selection, the components database management, component availability topics and maintaining component supplier relations. This position requires good knowledge on electronics components, general knowledge on mechanics and good communication skills. Previous work experience from electronics design work is preferred. Experience from sales, purchase or quality are highly valued, but not mandatory. Agile and communicative working style, advanced English and Finnish language skills as well as ability to work with multicultural teams, colleagues, suppliers and industrial partners, are needed.

     

    Main role and responsibilities

    • Supporting R&D and interfacing with suppliers for new components' selection (mostly electronics: radio, logic, telecom)
    • Supporting the manufacturing and supply chain to address components' quality and availability issues
    • Supporting the project buyers in the price negotiations by performing cost analysis
    • Implementing and maintaining the components coding structure and documents in the product database
    • Maintaining and enforcing relevant regulations and standards e.g. REACH, RoHS and CE marking
    • Monitoring the component market and keep tracking the end of life notifications, meanwhile, checking and proposing new alternatives
    • Participating in new suppliers’ selections and keeping in touch with existing ones.
