Financial Controller

We help our customers in public safety organisations such as police, defence, fire & rescue, healthcare & hospitals, airports, transportation, oil & gas, and utilities, collaborate in a smart and secure manner. While offering hybrid solutions to support our customers on a smooth evolution path, we are playing an active role in shaping future communications and collaborations technology and setting the ground for new standards.

     

    We are now looking for a Financial Controller to join our Finance and Control team in the Helsinki office.


    Main role and responsibilities

    • Overlook the controllership aspects of Airbus Defence and Space Oy
    • Group reporting towards our programme line headquarters and Airbus Group
    • Monitor performance and give guidance to our outsourced accounting and other financial services
    • Contribute to implementation of new processes and systems requirements
    • Ensure compliance with IFRS reporting requirements
    • Statutory reporting and tax aspects and participation in annual audit cycles
    • Participation in annual planning processes

    What we expect of you

    • Master’s or bachelor degree in accounting or similar discipline
    • 5-10 years experience in similar tasks preferably in an international environment
    • Analytical skills, highly organised and able to effectively prioritise tasks
    • Comfortable working with different systems. ERP experience in SAP, Oracle or similar is a strong asset
    • Ability and willingness to work as a team player in a highly collaborative and fast-evolving international environment
    • Business and service minded and problem solving attitude
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Knowledge of corporate income tax and VAT
    • Fluency in English
    • Fluency is Finnish is a big benefit due to the responsibilities and external stakeholders
    • Eagerness to learn more and grow in the role
