We are now looking for a Core Network Field Support Engineer (m/f/d) in Budapest, Hungary

Job title : Field Support Engineer (FSE)

Location : Budapest, Hungary

Contract : Permanent contract

Responsibilities and Tasks:

The expert team of Field Support Engineers in Budapest, is looking for an addition to their team. The new team member would be in charge of:

• Telecommunication Switching platform support including upgrade and maintenance activities
• Implementation, commissioning and support our last generation telecommunication products and software
• Troubleshooting, planning upgrades and bringing innovative solutions. The FSE is raising cases to level3 when needed and therefore is coordinating with our expert center
• Coordinating with our partners and reporting within customer meetings, being owner of the cases
• Contributing to and learning from international team support (methodology, training, lessons learned, common tools)

Requirements:

Experience

We are looking for a Telecommunications engineer, minimum 2 to 5 years’ experience in implementation, support or development of radio telecommunications systems (2G, 3G and 4G).

Profile

• Intermediate knowledge of DX200 switching platform
• Knowledge of Mobile Communications Systems and Networks both current and future visions & trends. In particular knowledge of EPC and LTE
• Knowledge with IP networking
• Knowledge with Enterprise Linux distributions and virtualization (KVM, VMWare) is an advantage
• Knowledge in RAN technologies is an advantage
• Able to comply with security environment
• Ready to learn new technologies
• Open for communication and team work
• Autonomy for working and being able to report both internally and to customer

Education and language requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree or equivalent in Telecommunications engineering
• Fluent Hungarian and English language skills
• The position requires security clearance approval from the Hungarian authorities.
