Key Account Manager (m/f/d) Strategic Sales and Business Development

    The sales team of Airbus is looking for a Key Account Manager (m/f/d) Strategic Sales and Business Development to join our company in Diegem.

    The Key Account Manager (m/f/d) in Belgium will further develop commercial approach and business in a key moment in the history of the Public Safety Communication.

    Drive the next big things at the forefront! In agreement with Europe Head of Sales and the Benelux Branch Manager, the KAM Strategic Sales (m/f/d) takes an active role in business concepts, customers/markets approach and works with a variety of ecosystem partners to enhance Airbus SLC business in our country. In addition it’s important to be able to quantify future potential of new business concepts.

    Tasks and responsibilities:

    • Takes active interface of selected campaigns and initiatives.
    • Be an account owner and primary PoC to some of our strategic customers and ecosystem partners in Belgium.
    • Identify and Develop next generation communication partnership needs.
    • Overall responsibility to ensure commercial offering and business results.
    • Either create offer or ensure this is coordinated with Bid team, specialized organization and the Product Lines.
    • Clarification of technical and commercial inquiries from customers during the sales process with the relevant stakeholders (essential: product management / marketing, technical engineering, SCS and Product Line).

    Required skills:

    • Minimum bachelor’s degree in a technical or commercial field.
    • Several years of experience in new business development, new concept launches with telecoms/software/IoT industries. Technical understanding and knowledge in the field of data driven business, cloud, AI, IoT solutions.
    • Public Sector Customer Experience. Specific interest for Public Safety ecosystem knowledge in Belgium.
    • Business and sales strategy development and planning.
    • Fluent in Dutch and English – French or German is a plus.
    • Strong networker and team player.
    • Dynamic and open-minded personality, unafraid to do new things, ability to make judgments and decisions.
    • Willingness to travel.
