High power – practical size

Operating costs and size of equipment go hand in hand. The TB3c TETRA base station is powerful but small in size.

The TB3c is a good choice when network planning calls for a small, sensitive base station with high output power. You can use it to build excellent radio coverage very cost-effectively.

World’s most popular

The TB3c is a TB3-series base station. The TB3-series base stations have become the most popular in the world.

Operators can have the same advanced TB3 platform offering the same excellent coverage via antenna innovations, and with TB3c it is available in smaller size.

Users will enjoy the same powerful features from all TB3-series base stations - from load-directed roaming to air-interface encryption, from Type 1 Handover to base station fallback.

One of the latest features is Dual Homing. This means that the base station can be connected to two switches.

Why is Dual Homing so important?

Disaster situations

Imagine a major disaster that takes out a network switch. Previously, first responders might have had to use Direct Mode, or make do with communications that a single base station can offer in standalone mode.

Network is set up to handle the situation

When the network is set up to make up for the lost parts, another switch will take over the tasks of the damaged switch. The base station continues as part of the network. First responders can continue their operations.

A better network means safer operations.
