IP Interface to Control Center and iPBX

The Lag IP is the full IP TETRAPOL interface for Control Center and iPBX. It is delivered as an all in one server with dedicated hardware and software.

The LAG-IP provides all the services required to efficiently interface Tetrapol IP network to the Control Center or iPBX meaning:

    • Standardized voice over IP interface (RTP of ED137b)
    • Signaling through IP (based on CC-API server)
    • Dedicated daughter boards (MGEM boards) to handle Tetrapol ciphering and vocoding
    • Available for unciphered and ciphered TETRAPOL networks. It is compliant with all the TETRAPOL ciphers.
    • Can manage in a single server up to 24 Tetrapol accesses (number of available accesses is depending on SW license fees)

It also allows to operators to participate at communication on the field (listening and speaking) and handle Tetrapol encoding.

    4 big benefits

    Nature_0126-2

    Footprint reduction

    • A single server to manage up to 24 TETRAPOL Accesses whereas a 19” cabinet was required formerly.
    • Withstands temperatures (less need for air conditioning)
    • Reuse existing power supply

    full IP connexion

    • A LAG-IP can be used to interface Control Center (SW CC license fees required)
    • A dedicated LAG-IP can be used to interface standardized iPBX (SW iPBX license fees required)
    Kontron

    Standardization of equipment

    • LAG-IP is based on a standard IT server.
    • Less spare parts needed : the same hardware is used for several TETRAPOL infrastructure components (CN, MD, LAG-IP).
    • Easy replacement of LAG-IP server for spare or repair.

    Efficient tool

    • Efficient redundancy at MGEM board and server level.
    • A LAG-IP can be shared between several TETRAPOL organizations within a single Regional Network.
    • The Tetrapol trunking feature (thanks to CC-API server) allows to manage more than 24 communications per LAG-IP.
    • One external CC-API server can manage several LAG-IP from several Regional Networks (new CC-API server is compliant with former client applications)
