RUBIS - nationwide public safety network for Gendarmerie in France

Rubis is the nationwide network for the French Gendarmerie with 90,000 users in all France's continental deparments. The naval forces are also users of this network, which is interconnected with the INPT network for the French Police and fire brigades.

The pioneering RUBIS

The French Gendarmerie were pioneers in adopting digital solutions for their communications. They have used the on RUBIS communication system since 1992.

The Gendarmerie have relied on the RUBIS network for their everyday operations ever since.

RUBIS for event security

In addition to being used every day, communication over the network plays an important role in securing large events. The Corsica stage of the Tour de France bicycle race is just one example of such an event. Also the G7 meeting in Biarritz was secured with RUBIS network in August 2019.
